Multiple casualties and arrests among terrorists after police raided a house in Ourdia today.
A BAT unit (Brigade Anti Terroriste) accompanied by officers from the Judicial Police has raided a house today in Ourdia, Tunis (Impoverished Neighborhood in Tunis). One terrorist was killed, another injured, and six were arrested. Some reports claim that an officer from the BAT was lightly injured with no Official confirmation regarding that so far.
According to a statement from the Interior ministry, the assault came as a result of “intelligence acquired from previous operations.“. The statement also says that these terrorists are involved in several other criminal cases.
This raid comes a few hours after an exchange of fire between security forces and another terrorist group in Sousse upon which several of them have been arrested. There may be links between the two incidents. The intelligence acquired from the arrests made at Sousse have probably led to Ourdia‘s raid.
These shootouts and raids come as a sequel to multiple encounters between security and military forces on one side and terrorists on the other whether in mount Chaambi or urban areas such as Ourdia.
